MN February Updates

On Saturday, February 4th, 2023, an update will be posted to all Minnesota SpEd Forms sites. The update will include the changes listed below:

IEP

1. Created a new goal category, with new goals and objectives, entitled: Self Awareness and Advocacy.

MA

1. An “Informed consent effective date” has been added to the student MA billing setup. Claims prior to this date will display a warning until the date is reached, then all claims one year prior to the date will be allowed to send.

2. The PCA plan has been updated to work as all other forms. Old plans have been moved to an Archived PCA plans folder on the student’s MA Forms menu.

3. Made a change to default the providing district to the transporting district when creating a new trip log.

4. Total students, encounters, minutes, and trips have been added to the MA total amount paid report.

5. The MDE Spanish, Hmong, and Somali translations have been added for the Consent to share data.

1. A clear form button was added to both the Prior Written Notice/Consent and the Evaluation/Reevaluation Plan Prior Written Notice.

1. Updated the Evaluation, Analysis, and Plan pages in MTSS forms.

1. Added district-specific preferences to allow the ECP and IHP to attach to finalized service plans.

1. A new quick report titled “Parent access” has been added to both admin and educator quick report options.

2. Made a change to reflect the current eligibility status on the “MA logs by provider 2022-23” MA quick report.

1. Added new admin preferences for MTSS forms.

2. Admin users can now block teacher access to be able to send students to a new case manager. This option will allow educators to edit sharing for a student but not send the student to a new case manager. This can be found within the “Block Access to” section when modifying the permissions for a user with “SpEd Teacher” as their primary role.

3. A new site preference has been added, “Hide billed indicator in MA logs for MA providers.”
