MN March Updates

On Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, an update will be posted to all Minnesota SpEd Forms sites. The update will include the changes listed below: 


IEP

1. The language on the first assessment page has been updated to include “or Alternate MCA.”

2. The ability to add a district template has been added to the Accommodations, modifications, and supports section of the IEP.

3. The IEP progress report screen has been updated to show the last finalized date.

4. When Special education transportation is checked yes, there is a suggestion to complete the MARSS transportation code.

ER

1. Tests of Dyslexia and Cognitive Assessment System, 2nd Edition, have both been added to the SpEd Forms test bank.

MA

1. A district preference has been added to create a corresponding trip log from a finalized nursing service activity log.

2. An informational icon has been added to the PCA log to display information from the finalized time study.

3. When opening an MA log, the page automatically navigates to the most recent log date.

4. An option to delete ICD-10 codes was added for super administrators only.

5. The Consent to share data can now be electronically signed by the parent without requiring an MHCP number to be entered.

1. Made revisions to the language used in the Restrictive Procedures: Physical holding and Seclusion forms.

2. New admin template options have been created and pick template buttons have been added to the Record of a team meeting and Summary of Performance forms.

Reports

1. The day of the week, eligibility status and grade columns have been added to the “Logs not on an instructional day” quick report.

2. A new admin quick report titled, ”Students with no plan set” has been added.

3. If selected, the Admin Child count report will now display students from a specific district.

4. The specific service setting will now appear on the downloadable results of the Admin and Educator Teacher workload analysis reports.

1. The Admin overview link has been added to the hamburger menu for administrators.

3.  A new navigation tool has been added to the top of each v2 IFSP and ER page, allowing for easy access to different sections of the service plan and report, respectively.

1. A new school-level preference was added to send an email notice to a designated person when a parent electronically signs a document.

2. The link for new referrals has been temporarily removed from the Admin overview page while it is being reviewed.

3. Added guidance regarding the Special Education Enrollment Status (SEES) field in student setup, the enrollment form, and the enrollment status change form.
