MN May Updates

On Saturday, May 10th, 2025, an update¹ will be posted to all Minnesota SpEd Forms sites. The update will include the changes listed below:

 
MA
1. In the Mental health folder, the summary and recommendations form has been updated.

1. Added ‘SpEd Forms tests’ and ‘Local tests’ buttons to the ‘Assessment results/present level of performance’ area of the Stand-alone DAPE Assessment form.

2. A clear button has been added to each page of the Behavior Support Plan.

2. A new checkbox on the student setup, in v2 only, has been added, ‘Do not update parents from an import.’

4. An optional ‘Evaluation hours’ field has been added to the IFSP Eligibility determination page. This will update the same field on a student’s setup page.

1. Added a ‘Send Password Reset’ feature to Admin Educators, enabling admins to initiate password resets for educators.This option is available in v2 only.

2. The enrollment page and the Enrollment status change form can now be turned off independently within Admin organization → Preferences.

1. The following forms are now available in the IEP menu:  Least restrictive environment (LRE), Description of services (Page 1), ESY Services, Related services (Page 2), State/District-wide Assessment Accommodations, and Measurable postsecondary goals.

MN April Updates

1. Added validation to the accommodation section of the IEP. Incomplete sections will result in an error preventing finalization.

1. Updated the change template warning dialog to include who is currently working in the ER.

2. A Google Translate link has been added to Evaluation report sections.

MA

1. The treatment strategies dropdown on the Individual Treatment Plan has been updated to insert into a text area.

2. MA logs have been optimized to improve usability and reduce screen space. The ICD-10 codes have a button to access and update instead of being listed on the claim.

3. A filter has been added to the 837 claim transmission to show claims on dates when students were absent.

1. A new district preference was created to add checkboxes for parents to agree or disagree with the Section 504 plan. The preference is off by default.

2. Renamed the ‘Notice of Discontinuation’ form on the 504 side to Notice of Discontinuation of 504 Plan so it appears with that title in the history folder.
